Everyone there was very nice at the end, but at the beginning a lot of the staff (at least in the department I worked in) was very judgemental and I did not have a mentor (even my own) that I felt that I could go to to ask questions or let me dive more into the field. Some voice parts are played first within the orchestra so the singer will know what pitch to sing, while others (like the Queen of the Night) are incredibly difficult to sing. Glow seeks to produce nationally recognized work that is socially relevant, and serve as a unique example of utilizing theatre for social change. When composing the opera, Mozart expertly considered his cast and wrote their vocal parts according to their own vocal expertise. My everyday routine was very basic - I did the same thing everyday I came in which became very repetitive and annoying. While I had percs of working here as an intern and grateful for the opportunity, I feel like I could've been included on a lot more projects compared to the amount of projects other interns were able to put on their resume.
